Nottingham Forest will be Manchester United's first test without Lisandro Martinez.
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United |
Following their disappointing 2-2 draw with Sevilla on Thursday night, Manchester United will be looking to bounce back to form against a free falling Nottingham Forest side.
So although they might be missing a few players, most recently the center-back partnership of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, Erik Ten Haag would expect a win from his side on Sunday.

In a match wherein Manchester United fans saw their much-loved loanee, Marcel Sabitzer score two goals, as well as scintillating displays from Anthony Martial and Antony Dos Santos, the end result as well as the loss of certain crucial players marked the clash against Sevilla as a dismal one.
Marcel Sabitzer scored twice against Sevilla |
It would certainly be one the available United team would be glad to move on from, especially captain Harry Maguire and youngster Tyrell Malacia.
And sublime performances against Forest would obviously be one of the best ways to right their wrongs, especially with a possible 3rd place on the line following Newcastle and Tottenham's thrilling defeats to Aston Villa and Bournemouth respectively.
The last few weeks have been bitter-sweet for United fans considering the fact that they have welcomed back three crucial players into the team, while losing a further five—three on short term injuries, two on long term injuries.
Harry Maguire concedes another own goal |
With Lisandro Martinez out for the season and Raphael Varane unavailable for a couple of weeks, United face a defensive dilemma that could see a return of Ole's CB pair—Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof; a reroute of Shaw to the CB spot when he's fit, or another possible "last dance" recall for Phil Jones or Eric Bailly.
The first option seems most likely, with Shaw just recovering from injury, and although the United faithful may not be comfortable with it, they may have to settle with watching Maguire and Lindelof stop their opponents' attacks.
Brennan Johnson is Forest’s biggest attacking outlet |
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest have suffered a rocky start to life in the Premier League after their summer and winter expenditures, and are currently winless since February and placed 18th.
They will be without the likes of Chris Wood, United loanee Dean Henderson, and Wily Boly; while doubts hover around the availability of Cheikhou Kouyate, Renan Lodi, Gustavo Scarpa, and Emmanuel Dennis.
