With the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Pellistri already making an impact on the coach, Erik ten Hag, as well as Sancho and Rashford reforming their careers this season, it was already clear that playing time would be limited for any winger who wasn't putting in the performances required by Erik ten Hag.
A lot of right-footed wingers pose as competition for Elanga |
An one of those wingers is Anthony Elanga. Despite his hardwork on and off the pitch, Elanga has struggled to make the kind of impact the Manchester United want from their wingers.
And as a result, it was evident that he was one of the youngsters who would go out on loan to get more playing time and experience.
Manchester United are not new to the development of players via loan moves, with players like Amad Diallo, Ethan Laird, Hannibal Mejbri, and most recently Charlie Savage profiting from such deals. And now, Elanga looks set to join that loan list.

According to Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, a lot of clubs including Everton, Dortmund, and PSV have all expressed their interest in getting the Swede on a 6-month loan deal.
The player has also been depicted as “keen” for a loan move, so the decision lies with Manchester United.
United do not favour loaning Elanga to a relegation-embroiled club like Everton. So although they'll offer him Premier League football, Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven will allow him enjoy European football as leverage for the deal.
Also United are looking to sign a midfielder this January and with Dortmund’s Marco Reus one of the targets, they could use him to sweeten the deal and get Elanga till the end of the season.
Where should Elanga ply his trade for the next six months?
