Alessia Russo could become the world record transfer in female football |
The 23-year-old England international has rejected talks with Manchester United to extend her contract, and is now free to talk to other clubs since she is in the last six months of her contract.

Russo is an integral part of Marc Skinner’s team that sit at the summit of the Women's Super League table, 3 points above Arsenal.

And since it is a deadline day bid, the hefty sum would be to trigger Manchester United into selling her for good money inside of letting her leave on a free in the summer. But that has downplayed, as United have reportedly rejected the bid and are set to resume contract talks with Russo again.
Russo has also garnered interest from Chelsea and Lyon, so it could prove to be one big saga.
