Today, Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, revealed that Ten Haag was adamant on retaining Victor Lindelof in January despite interest from Atletico Madrid and Internazionale Milan. And from all possible indications, it seems that the Dutch gaffer will maintain that stance in the summer.
Fabrizio also stated that both Inter and Atletico have already moved to other targets as it seemed that Erik ten Haag wasn't going to sanction the sale.
Çağlar Söyüncü is one of such other targets, as both Atleti and Inter are looking to recruit replacements for Felipe and Skriniar (who is most probably leaving Inter for PSG in the summer) respectively.

Recall that Erik ten Haag has acknowledged the versatility of Victor Lindelof, utilizing him in defensive midfield, as well as retaining him as his third-choice centre-back. So even if the former Benfica man hasn't lived up to expectations at Old Trafford, Ten Haag believes the Swede can be a good squad player for the team.
