Manchester United Set to Offer Youngster A New Contract before Summer Loan Move

Reports have revealed that Manchester United are preparing a loan move for their Uruguayan talent, Facundo Pellistri, along with a new contract that will see him remain at Old Trafford for long-term.

Pellistri and Amad are bright talents for United

Fabrizio Romano has reported Manchester United’s plans to offer versatile midfielder, Facundo Pellistri, a new contract whilst sending him out on loan for experience and game time like they've done with Amad Diallo, Ethan Laird, amongst others.

The 21-year-old joined Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United from Peñarol in 2020, due to some insightful advice from Diego Forlan, but has since had limited first-team opportunities and this is not due to a lack of talent.

Although he is yet to start a game for Manchester United, his cameos this season have been brilliant and impressive, which is why most fans have been bemused as to why he hasn't started a game for Ten Haag.

After his impressive contribution (which led to Weghorst’s goal) against Real Betis, Erik ten Haag lauded his immediate impact in the game as well as his hard work off and on the pitch. It seemed that he had caught the eye of the manager, but fresh reports have proved that wrong.

Romano has now confirmed that Pellistri will be available for loan offers in the summer, but United would want him to commit to a new contract first.

Having already shown his worth in the World Cup and at Manchester United, Pellistri would certainly attract a lot of big names and hopefully this loan, unlike his first two, would be an experience for him to get more experience and game time as he has already established himself as an exciting prospect.
