Goalkeepers Domino: United Duo Set For Move to Premier Clubs After Confirmation of Onana’s Arrival

Manchester United goalkeeper, Dean Henderson, will be on the move to Nottingham Forest since reports have confirmed the soon-to-be completed transfer of Andre Onana from Milan to Manchester.

The 26-year-old goalie spent last season on loan with the Reds (from Nottingham), impressing their manager, Steve Cooper, before he sustained an injury that prompted their signing of Keylor Navas on loan from PSG. He has now returned to United’s Carrington Training Complex, as expected, but will soon be on the move back to Nottingham on a permanent deal.

This is hugely due to his insistence on a first-choice keeper role which United cannot guarantee with their imminent signing of Andre Onana from Inter Milan.

Onana was expected to make a trip to Manchester on Sunday to finalize his move, but it has now been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, that the trip will take place on Monday or Tuesday. The Cameroonian will sign a five year contract, with the option of an extra year, in a deal worth a whooping million.

According to Sports Mole, Henderson favoured a move away from United, following their “treatment” towards him last two seasons—wherein he made only three first-team starts, after being promised regular game time ahead of De Gea. And with a reported £20 million unofficial bid from Nottingham Forest, he could be on his way before the Stateside Tour commences.

Tom Heaton could also be on his way out

The People's Person also reports that another United goalie, Tom Heaton, might also be headed for the exit door, after reports came in yesterday that newly promoted side, Luton Town, were waiting for greenlight from Manchester United to make a swoop for the 37-year-old. United have offered Heaton a one year contract to keep at the club, but regular Premier League could lure him away.

If both deals happen, United may look to replace the departing players by intensifying the talks they've had with Urawa Reds for Japanese goalkeeper, Zion Suzuki, or by promoting Matej Kovár, who enjoyed last season on loan with league-winning Sparta Prague in his home country.
